The Overthinkers Club T-Shirt is one of those. A collaboration that didn’t start as a collaboration, but always should’ve been one.

The Origin: A Concept That Never Let Go

About a year ago, while working on designs for the Forward Thinking Collection, Amber sketched out a series of concepts — sharp, clever ideas that carried her signature minimalist-but-loaded energy. A few made the lineup. Some didn’t.
But this one… this one stayed with both of us.

Even then, it felt like the seed of something bigger. Something we weren’t quite ready for yet.

When an Old Idea Becomes the Right Idea

Fast forward to this year — classic overthinker move — I’m digging through old archives, spiraling through half-finished designs and forgotten notes, and I find it again.

It hit immediately: we have to bring this to life together.

Not as a leftover idea.
Not as a “we should’ve used this.”
But as the first official collab between Amberlen Studios and ICANTFINDMIKEY — something simple, grounded, intentional.

We’d never done a deep coal black heavyweight tee, the timing lined up, and within a week we burned screens, ran samples, and held the first print in our hands.
That’s when it clicked: this wasn’t just a design. It was a moment. And it was time to share it.
