Forward Thinking: Pushing Past Boundaries
Apparel design and production have always been more than just a craft to me — they’re a form of expression. The more I create, the deeper I fall in love with each part of the process: the fabric, the ink, the tools, the hands-on trial and error. With this new drop, I decided to return to those roots. Every single item in this release was made by hand, right here in my garage.
This time, I took a fully hands-on approach to apparel production, with a clear focus: deliver high-quality, meaningful garments — pieces you’ll live in, and grow with.
The Printing Process: Craft Meets Chaos
Each piece in the Psychedelic Research & Development collection was printed and tagged in-house, embracing the spirit of creative experimentation. The crewneck sweatshirt and graphic tee feature a detailed CMYK halftone print — a method that uses four layered color separations to create rich, multi-dimensional imagery.
This technique requires precision, and when the human hand inevitably wavers, the result is something even more beautiful — a perfectly imperfect print. That’s the essence of Wabi-Sabi: the beauty in imperfection, in process, in individuality.
No two shirts are exactly alike. Each one carries its own subtle flaws and character — like a fingerprint. In a world flooded with mass-produced fast fashion, these one-of-one pieces stand apart.
This isn’t just clothing — it’s modern printmaking meets streetwear. It’s a nod to the analog world in a digital age.
Pushing Boundaries: The Forward Thinking Collection
Where Psychedelic R&D explored complexity through print, Forward Thinking leans into sleek simplicity and functional design. But don’t confuse minimalism with mediocrity — this collection is anything but basic.
🌧️ The Anorak: Where Style Meets Utility
The black nylon anorak jacket is the standout piece in this collection. A waterproof half-zip design, printed with plastisol low cure poly ink for added depth and finish. It's clean, it’s sharp, and it’s built to perform. This is that rare mix of style and technical utility — something you can wear out in the rain or to the studio. Form meets function.
👕 The Work Shirt: Durable, Timeless, Ready
Our heavyweight work shirts are built for the grind — tough enough for any task, clean enough for everyday wear. These aren’t your average basic tees. With a reinforced construction and structured fit, these shirts are made to last through long days and late nights. You’ll feel it the moment you put one on: a quiet confidence, a readiness to move.
🧵 The Crewneck: Elevated Everyday Essentials
Rather than releasing another hoodie, this time I introduced a creme-colored crewneck sweatshirt — a clean shift from the previous bone hues. The tonal change adds freshness and contrast to the overall lineup, broadening the visual range of the drop. Sometimes subtle tweaks can make a bold statement.
Designed with Intention: It’s All in the Details
Every release is an opportunity to refine, not just in the clothes but in how the entire customer experience feels. Packaging, accessories, and presentation matter. For this drop, I finally made an idea I’ve had for a long time come to life: custom carpenter pencils.
Included as a gift with every Forward Thinking purchase, these pencils are more than just a cool extra. They’re a symbol of creation — a reminder that everything starts with a sketch, a scribble, an idea. And just like the clothes, they were crafted in-house.
Small touches like this don’t always get noticed by everyone. But they’re part of a bigger philosophy: everything matters.
ICANTFINDMIKEY: Where Streetwear Meets Artistic Freedom
What you’re wearing isn’t just a garment — it’s a story, a mood, a process. From garage-made CMYK prints to custom accessories, this is artist-led streetwear built on passion, mistakes, learning, and a love of the craft.
Forward Thinking is more than a name — it’s a mindset. A space for unbound creativity, intentional thoughts, and growth. Every drop is a step forward, every collection a new experiment.
And maybe the next one will be different.
That’s the point.
